Guest searches
You can use the guest page without signing in. When enabled, its limited YouTube searches use a server-held Tahpys key; search words are sent to Google. Guest queries and results are not intentionally saved in the Tahpys database. Your queue and results stay in this tab and do not transfer to a signed-in account.
A secure, HttpOnly functional cookie identifies the guest browser for up to 24 hours. Daily counters use a keyed, date-specific digest of that identifier, not your search words or raw IP address. Counters are kept for up to seven days and cleaned during guest-search activity. A shared site allowance limits total guest requests. Clearing cookies can reset a browser identity, but cannot reset the shared allowance.
If you choose “Use my own key” in guest mode, the key stays in tab memory and requests go directly from your browser to Google. It is not saved in a Tahpys account. Reloading clears the key and queue. Provider quotas, logging and playback rules still apply.
The signed-in hosted app
Sign in with ChatGPT to use saved feeds and account connections. TAHPYS stores your saved feeds, search prompts, result metadata, preferences and connected credentials in its hosted database. The hosting platform supplies an account identifier that separates your records from other visitors. Your API keys are encrypted with a server-held secret and are never returned to the browser after saving. Encryption does not make the service inaccessible to its operator.
Your queue stays in this browser, separated by account; it does not sync across devices. Signing out clears the current browser queue. Saved feeds and connections remain in your account. Delete feeds and disconnect credentials through the app. Provider quotas and charges apply to your keys.
Brave live search
If you connect Brave Search, TAHPYS stores your encrypted Brave key in your private account. Each live-search submission sends your search words, selected platform domain, optional index-date filter and API key from the hosted server to Brave's official API. Brave handles these under its own privacy policy and terms.
Unlike saved feeds, Brave live-search queries, links and snippets are processed for the current request and displayed in this tab. TAHPYS does not intentionally persist them in its database, cache, browser storage, digests or AI prompts. Explicitly queued social results and queue history stay only in page memory and clear on reload, sign-out or leaving. The daily account-operation counter still applies. Hosting and provider technical logging policies remain applicable.
TikTok, Instagram and X previews load their official third-party embeds. Their own login, privacy and playback rules apply, and provider-controlled links may navigate outside TAHPYS. X discovery uses Brave video-index candidates, not unrestricted X search. Brave results do not enable unrestricted platform access or verify posting dates. Brave Search privacy policy.
House promotions
TAHPYS displays labelled Guligila/TAHPYS house promotions. Fixed text is selected locally using broad topics from the current feed prompt; recognized sensitive topics use a neutral promotion. No raw query or category is sent to an advertising service, and promotion links contain no search words. No advertising network, auction, marketing pixel or promotion click tracker is connected. Video embeds remain separate third-party services. Any future paid advertising will require an updated notice and applicable privacy choices.
Video and AI providers
The hosted server sends searches and the appropriate key to the official provider API. If you connect AI, your prompt and candidate metadata—including full descriptions, hashtags, tags and posting dates—can be sent to that provider for planning and ranking. Gemini video digests also send selected YouTube URLs for sampled analysis. Do not put confidential information in a search prompt.
Thumbnails, fonts and official embedded players contact third-party services and share technical information such as your IP address. Those services may set cookies or storage. Playback is controlled by the source platform.

The separate sample demo
The landing-page demo needs no sign-in. It keeps its queue and optional YouTube key only in tab memory. Its live search sends the key directly to Google, not to the hosted database. Reloading or choosing Clear key forgets that demo key.
Hosting and logs
Hosting and delivery providers process requests and may retain technical logs under their policies. TAHPYS does not intentionally log API keys or request bodies. This version adds no advertising network, marketing tracker or email signup.
The download
The v0.11.1 downloaded app runs separately on your computer and stores its configuration locally. It does not automatically synchronize with the hosted app. Keep local configuration and backups private.
